The Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter rewarded the Exchange Club of Dearborn and Dearborn Explorers June 10 for their fundraising efforts during the FFDAS Mutt Strut and Pet Expo in May. Club members and Explorers collected donations at Michigan Avenue intersections in downtown west Dearborn during the Mutt Strut at Ford Field Park May 10. Club members and Explorers collected almost $3,200 for the FFDAS, which runs the Dearborn Animal Shelter. Accepting the award are Club President Lesley Wenban (third from left) and Pat D’Ambrosio, club Mutt Strut organizer, along with Cpl. Dan Bartok (left), and Explorers Capt. Casey Baker, Lt. Hassen Beydoun and Sgt. Hussein Abdallah.
