DEARBORN — Area youngsters can learn to swim this summer through swim lessons offered by the Recreation & Parks Department at the city’s outdoor pools.
Two-week sessions, in which classes meet Monday through Thursday for 30 minutes, are offered at each of the city’s outdoor pools June 16 to 26, June 30 to July 10 and July 14 to 24.
Dunworth Pool will offer a fourth session July 28 to Aug. 7.
Make-up classes, if required, will be conducted on Fridays.
The cost is $55 for Dearborn residents and $65 for non-residents. All participants must also purchase a seasonal swim tag.
Tags for Dearborn residents, ages 17 and under, are $45. Non-resident tags are $100.
Swim lesson registration and pool tag sales are conducted at the service desk of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave., weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
