Mainly known for his work with the flute, Alexander Zonjic (center) leads his band through a number on the electric guitar during the kickoff performance of the 2014 Jazz on the Ave in City Hall Park July 9. The concert series is presented by the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority and will take place outside City Hall, 13615 Michigan Avenue at Schaefer, every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. through Aug. 13 and admission is free.
