WYANDOTTE – Leads could be lucrative in the July 15 bank robbery at Monroe Bank & Trust.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward in the bank heist.

Police said a man wearing a hat and described as black, in his 40s and weighing approximately 190 pounds entered the bank, conversed with the teller and demanded $100s and $50s while showing her the gun in his waistband.

There were no customers in the bank at the time and no bank employees were injured.

FBI agents believe the same man is linked to a June 11 robbery of Key Bank, 23116 Telegraph in Brownstown Township. No details about that robbery have been released.

Anyone with information in the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 800-773-2587. All calls are anonymous.
