Deputy fire chief retires

RIVERVIEW – Deputy Fire Chief Mitch Jensen was honored with a plaque Monday at a city council meeting honoring him for his nine years of service with the department.

Jensen retired July 15. Prior to hiring on with Riverview, Jensen worked with the Trenton Fire Department as a captain. He hired on with Riverview on July 1, 2005 as a dispatcher and was later promoted to a fire inspector and then to deputy fire chief.
