DEARBORN — The Dearborn Animal Shelter will host its second of two Adopt-A-Thons from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Westborn Mall parking lot, 23239 Michigan Ave.
The shelter plans to have 70 kittens, cats, puppies and dogs in all shapes and sizes available for adoption.
Counselors will be available to help potential adopters find their new best friend, including a meet and greet area to get to know dogs a little better in a separate section. Reduced adoption fees, shelter merchandise and canine treats will be featured.
“Adopt-A-Thons help improve the potential for our animals to get adopted,” Friends For the Dearborn Animal Shelter Executive Director Elaine Greene said. “This is the third year that Westborn Mall has hosted one for us and it is great place to feature many adoptable pets in a high profile location.”
Lori Bennett, 96.3 WDVD-FM 96.3 midday personality, will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. to greet attendees and welcome fans with music.
