The George Brothers Band brought the music as Southgate’s Homer Howard Park was the place to be for an evening of live entertainment, children’s activities, vendor giveaways and an outdoor family movie, “Despicable Me 2.” Family Fun Night is sponsored by Park It, which stages weekly events in partnership with a variety of sponsors. Park It will set up Tuesday in Taylor’s Heritage Park — not far from the Junior League World Series — at 6 p.m., with an 8:15 p.m. start time for a showing of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” with event sponsors including Metro PCS and the Detroit Zoo.
