DTE anticipates power outage in Allen Park today

August 26, 2014 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

ALLEN PARK — DTE Energy officials anticipate a 90 percent chance of a power outage in the northern part of the city through 2 p.m. today because of high demands on the system.

Officials said the area bounded by Outer Drive, Euclid, Watson and Willow Cove is expected to have a high demand on the system because of the high temperatures today.

Officials said people in that area should take appropriate measures to protect electrical equipment and appliances in the event an outage occurs.
