DEARBORN — Michael A. Guido Theater is in need of volunteer ushers.
The theater, inside the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 MichiganAve., hosts a professional theater season, beginning in the early fall and continuing through spring, as well as a variety of local community events.
“We ask our ushers to volunteer for as little as two hours a month,” Theater Manager Martin Zbosnik said, “but they can involve themselves as often as they wish.”
And the perks are considerable, he said.
“Our ushers get to see some of the top performers in the world for free,” Zbosnik said. “And they receive advance information about upcoming events and ticket sales.
“Above and beyond that, they experience the excitement of the performance, because they’re part of it.”
Interested adults, aged 18 and over, may call the theater box office at 313-943-2354.
This year’s professional theater season gets underway the second week of September.
