WYANDOTTE — Council members showed their scary side Monday when unanimously approving a vacant Biddle Avenue building as the site for the Wyandotte Jaycees’ haunted house.

The city-owned property at 4560 Biddle Ave., formerly Shots Up Bar, will serve as a haunted house before being demolished soon after the spookiness.

Council members demanded the fire department and plumbing inspector be consulted in the house design and that it meet city code.

The city recently purchased the property for back taxes.

The Jaycees expect to soon begin work on the haunted house.
