ALLEN PARK — The eleventh-hour presentation of the agenda for Tuesday’s City Council meeting upset at least one council member as well as some residents.

“I got the agenda at 3:30 (p.m.)” Tuesday, Councilman Bob Keenan said.

“Councilwoman (Tina) Gaworecki made a motion a year ago that we have the agenda before Friday. It’s unfortunate we had stuff at this late hour.”

Some residents agreed.

“You really can’t have an agenda before the weekend?” resident Brian Debolt asked. “This is ridiculous.

“Please, don’t just sit back,” Debolt pleaded to council members. “Represent us.”

Keenan reiterated his irritation with the late-hour agenda.

“It’s unfortunate for the council and citizens that we had stuff at this late hour,” Keenan said.

Emergency Manager Joyce Parker was in charge of the agenda. She, however, made no excuses or gave an explanation as to why it was late.

Despite the tardiness of the document, there were three items added.
