Annapolis High School alumnus Terry Gerin, also known as former WWE hardcore champion, will team with Jaimy Cox against the Carboni Brothers in a professional wrestling benefit for St. Sebastian Church Sept. 25.

HEIGHTS — A professional wrestling exhibition to benefit St. Sebastian Church will be presented Sept. 25.

The matches will be held in the gymnasium at St. Sebastian, 3965 Merrick. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with matches to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5, with all proceeds going to the church.

The tag-team main event will feature former WWE superstar Rhino teaming with Jaimy Cox against the Scarboni Brothers, who are managed at ringside by Handsome Johnny Bradford of Dearborn. Rhino, former holder of the WWE hardcore championship, is a hometown favorite, having grown up in Dearborn Heights as Terry Gerin, and still resides locally.

Another featured match will pit Bryan Castle against Ben Boone. Several other Detroit-based wrestlers will compete, including the D.B.A.

Wayne County Commissioner, and former wrestling promoter Gary Woronchak will serve as the event’s guest commissioner.

Tickets are available in advance at the St. Sebastian Church office, and at the door the day of the show.
