The community is invited to a special celebration Sunday in Heritage Park, a benefit for the Make-A-WIsh Foundation of Michigan in memory of Dominick Keck, who passed away in December 2013 at age 8. “Dom’s Special Birthday Celebration” keep’s alive the memory of “The Dominator,” who counted among his final wishes last year the chance to visit the petting farm one more time — an off-season request that city officials gladly arranged. An open house is scheduled from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Sheridan Open Air Center, 12111 Pardee, with games, raffles, music and more. Organizers hope to raise $5,000 in donations to benefit Make-A-Wish in Dominick’s name. For information contact Larry at 313-575-6178 or via email at [email protected].
