Library book sale Oct. 23-25

HEIGHTS — Friends of the Dearborn Heights Libraries will host its 2014 Fall Book Sale Oct.23 to 25 at Caroline Kennedy Library, 24590 George.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 23 and 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 and 25.

Thousands of fiction and non-fiction books — paperback and hard cover — audio and videotapes, CDs and some electronics will be available.

Prices will be $1 for hard cover and 50 cents to $1 for paperbacks, and $1 for media. Children’s books will be 10 cents and up, with most costing 25 cents. Some special books will be priced higher.

Oct. 24 will be “bag day” where people can fill a bag for $5.

Many of the fiction books are 5 years old or newer. Non-fiction materials will include history, sports, cookbooks, crafts, art and sheet music.

Proceeds go to support programs at Caroline Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr. libraries.
