According to the editors of a national police publication, Trenton’s finest — including officer Andrew Grignon — get around town in one of the best-designed patrol cars in the Midwest. Public Safety Director James Nardone said “Law and Order” magazine recently announced its choices by region and department size. Trenton’s fleet took second place its region for departments of 10 to 50 officers and scored high for driver safety, vehicle recognition and visibility and other factors. Contest judges commented on the “old school detective badge” which bears the number of the department’s only officer killed in the line of duty, Robert D. Pare in 1968. “They honor him with this design,” the judges noted.
