Taylor Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Dobek (left) accepts equipment donations from Doug Reimel, along with Parks Foreman Guido Ulin of de-icing equipment to be used this winter to keep portions of Heritage Park’s Coan Lake oxygenated and free of ice. City officials said the donated machine — valued at $1,600 — will help the lake’s fish population survive what may be another harsh season. Reimel, owner of Prop & Sail Inc./Angler’s Marine, said he worked with his suppliers and the city to ensure that local fish will have a fighting chance when temperatures drop.
