October 31, 2014 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — The City Clerk’s Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 1, the final day to apply for an absentee ballot.

Residents can fill out an absentee ballot application and return the completed form to the clerk right on the spot.

Voters may also verify their precinct and confirm they are registered by calling 313-943-2032.

The City Clerk’s Office is now in the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave.

On Election Day, Tuesday, polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Absentee ballots can be returned to the Clerk’s Office until 8 p.m.

Government-issued photo identification is required at the precinct in order to vote. If voters do not have a government-issued photo ID, they will be asked to sign an affidavit and can then vote.

Residents who used to vote at City Hall, which closed in September, will now vote at Geer Park School, 14767 Prospect.
