HEIGHTS – The city Animal Control Department is seeking donations from residents that will help provide a more comfortable environment for the animals – primarily dogs and cats – it picks up.
The department is seeking clean, used towels and blankets, which would be used to help keep those animals picked up by the department’s animal control officers warm and dry while they are housed in the transport truck, as well as the department’s “temporary housing” cages.
The department is also accepting donations of new, unopened dog and cat food.
Donations may be dropped off at the city Ordinance/Animal Control Department in City Hall, 6045 Fenton. City Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
