The holiday spirit rode into town this weekend with the tree lighting and arrival of Santa Claus and opening of Santa’s Magic Forest at Heritage Park, 12111 Pardee, which will host Santa visits and reindeer-petting opportunities throughout the month. Reindeer Days at the Petting Farm will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13 and 14. Tickets are $3 per resident, $4 for non-residents and children under 1 are welcome free of charge. Santa will also be at the Magic Forest, which will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, Dec. 21. Proceeds from the Magic Forest — including $7 photos with Santa — benefit Downriver Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry. Breakfast With Santa will be held at Lakes of Taylor Golf Course, 25505 Northline, from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 13. Tickets are $9 and include breakfast, story time with Santa and arts and crafts.
