The fire began about 9 p.m. and continued to blaze causing an explosion until firefighters arrived on the scene to put it out.
Damage from the fire caused destruction to the vehicles parked on the driveway and the side of the house next door. Debris from the fire also spread a few houses down the block.
No one was hurt in the fire and cleanup began shortly after the fire was extinguished, a Fire Department spokesman said.
The cause of the explosion was under investigation as of press time.
