DEARBORN – The Dearborn Community Arts Council provides opportunities for budding and experienced painters alike at its next Gallery Paint Party Fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. April 11 at Padzieski Art Gallery.
Admission is $35. The gallery is in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.
As “painting parties” continue to grow in popularity, the DCAC’s remains the only one in Dearborn in an actual art gallery. Participants have said they find the relaxing atmosphere inspiring and conducive to painting.
Award-winning artist Janus Benda of the Artists’ Society of Dearborn, provides instruction and three painting subjects of varying levels of ease. Everything needed is provided, including canvases and all painting supplies.
Those attending also may enjoy light snacks and refreshments including wine at no additional charge.
Beginners, accomplished artists and everyone in between are invited.
All proceeds support the programs and galleries run by the DCAC.
The next Paint Party is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. May 29.
