TAYLOR – Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who died this morning after being struck by a vehicle on Eureka Road near I-75.

The unidentified man – believed to be in his 60s – stepped from the center median about 6 a.m., and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Brownstown Township man, Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said.

Police are asking anyone with information on the victim to contact investigators at 734-287-6611. Sclabassi said the victim was a black man with scruffy facial hair and short hair wearing black pants, a T-shirt and sports coat.

The man was carrying several garbage bags and police believed he was homeless.
