TAYLOR – Two of the three candidates interviewed earlier this month for superintendent of Taylor Public Schools will again meet with board members this week.

The Taylor Board of Education voted July 13 to conduct second interviews before naming the district’s next top administrator.

According to school officials, Scott Dunsmore, who had served as superintendent of Houghton Lake Schools, and Garden City Public Schools’ Director of Instructional Services Alex McNeece will meet with panelists July 22. The interviews will be open to the public and begin at 4:30 p.m. at the district offices, 23033 North Line Road.

Hoover Middle School Principal Michelle Tocco also had interviewed for the position, currently served by Diane Allen. Earlier this year Allen had announced that she would retire after more than 40 years with the district, with an anticipated June 30 departure.

The board last month requested that she remain in the position for up to one year while a proper candidate was identified.
