
Free outdoor concerts are continuing in Dearborn for the next several weeks. And, the week of Aug. 10, there will be a free Jazz on the Ave concert (above) in downtown east Dearborn, a free Music Under the Stars concert at Dearborn Hills Golf Course, and a free Friday Nites in the Park concert in downtown west Dearborn.
DEARBORN – “Music Under the Stars,” the Dearborn Recreation & Parks Department’s free outdoor concert series, returns for another season Aug. 13, Aug. 27 and Sept. 3. All three concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.
Patrons are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
The Thursday evening concert series kicks off its 36th season Aug. 13 with a concert at Dearborn Hills Golf Course, 1300 S. Telegraph, featuring Riot House, primarily an ’80s tribute band. They also perform hits from the ’90s and today.
Motor Honey, featuring an eclectic, refreshing mix of rock, soul and funky grooves, will headline Aug. 27 in the series’ “Funk and Dunk” concert on the deck of Dunworth Pool at Levagood Park, 700 N.Silvery Lane.
The series wraps up Sept. 3 at Dearborn Hills Golf Course with a performance by The Phoenix Theory, a group specializing in classic rock and dance favorites from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and today.
Other free outdoor concerts are continuing in Dearborn.
The East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority hosts Wednesday evening concert series Jazz on the Ave at City Hall Park, 13615 Michigan Ave. Concerts are 7 to 9 pm.
The remaining concert on the schedule is Aug. 12 featuring Alexander Zonjic with the Motor City Horns and special guest Elan Trotman.
The West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority hosts Friday Nights in the Park concert series, presented at Bryant Library Muirhead Plaza, 22100 Michigan Ave. These concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and run till 9 p.m.

A food truck rally will take place in the parking lot across the alley from the concert from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 28.
