TAYLOR – A Taylor man was charged Monday with breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s house and raping the 23-year-old woman and assaulting their 3-year-old daughter.

Jeremy Phillip Rozycki, 23, was arraigned before 23rd District Court Judge Geno Salomone on five felony charges: home invasion, two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, third-degree child abuse and aggravated stalking.

Taylor Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said that about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 28, Rozycki forced his way into his former girlfriend’s house in the 11700 block of Pine Street, then raped the woman and physically assaulted the child.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9, and a preliminary examination of the evidence against him on Sept. 14.

Rozycki remained in custody on $500,000 cash bond.
