TAYLOR – Evidence against a Taylor man charged with the assault of his ex-girlfriend and their infant daughter is expected to be heard in court after a probable cause conference was waived last week.
According to police and prosecutors Jeremy Phillip Rozycki, 23, had broken into the home of his former girlfriend in the 11700 block of Pine Street at about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 28. Following a confrontation Rozycki allegedly raped the 23-year-old woman and physically assaulted the couple’s 3-year-old daughter.
Rozycki was arraigned last month before 23rd District Court Judge Geno Salomone on five felony charges: Home invasion; two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct; third-degree child abuse; and aggravated stalking.
A probable cause conference that had been scheduled for Wednesday was waived at the stipulation of prosecution and defense counsel. A preliminary exam is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14. Rozycki remained in custody on $500,000 cash bond.
