October 23, 2015 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — Police arrested two people Oct. 21 suspected of kidnapping a woman in Dearborn Oct. 18.

The pair had not been arraigned as of publication.

The victim told police she was abducted by a former female friend and the female’s boyfriend near the victim’s residence in the area of Warren and Lonyo. The victim said she was forced into the trunk of a vehicle at gunpoint and was driven away from the scene.

She said she was able to use the vehicle’s trunk release and jumped from the moving vehicle onto eastbound I-94 near Livernois in Detroit, while the vehicle continued east. A passing motorist stopped to assist the victim who was then transported to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit for medical attention.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of her jump from the moving vehicle.

Dearborn police arrested the two suspects Oct. 21 in Warren. The Police Department is awaiting a charging decision from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
