TAYLOR – A 33-year-old Taylor man remained hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by a red pickup truck, and police are looking for the motorist who drove away from the scene.

Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said that sometime between 9 and 11 p.m. Nov. 2, the victim was walking in the parking area of the Copper Tree apartment complex in the 12000 block of Pine Street. A red pickup truck struck the man and a Ford Taurus he was standing near.

The man was taken to the hospital and remained in serious condition.

Witnesses said the truck – believed to be an older model Dodge – may have tinted windows, and damage to the driver’s side front end.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Taylor Police Cpl. Theodore Michowski at 734-287-6611.
