TAYLOR – Charges are expected to be heard in court Monday against two 20-year-old Romulus men police and prosecutors said robbed a United Parcel Service delivery truck last month.

Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said that about 9:45 a.m. Oct. 19, a UPS driver stopped to make a delivery in the 25000 block of Goddard Road. A vehicle approached the truck, and two men stepped out to confront the driver. One of the men allegedly pointed a gun and took an undisclosed number of packages.

Shortly after the robbery, Romulus police reportedly spotted and followed a car matching the description of the suspect vehicle. Investigators followed the suspects to a house, and soon executed a search warrant that discovered UPS-marked packages.

A third suspect, a 17-year-old from Romulus, also may face charges.

Charges and evidence are expected to be heard Nov. 16 before 23rd District Court Judge Geno Salomone.
