Power restored to most Dearborn residents; emergency warming shelter closed

DEARBORN – DTE restored power this morning to thousands of Dearborn residences that lost electrical service early Monday morning.

The Red Cross, with support from the city, had created an emergency warming shelter at McCollough-Unis School in Dearborn to house residents without power overnight. That shelter has now been closed.

Residents and several businesses lost power due to a fire at an electrical substation.
