Public invited to Dec. 7 City Christmas tree-lighting, sing-along Dec. 7

TreeLighting_2014DEARBORN – The city’s annual Christmas Tree-Lighting Ceremony and Sing-Along at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center is 6 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 7.

The free event will give guests an opportunity to enjoy live music, performances by local school choirs and bands, a Christmas sing-along and a visit with Santa Claus.

Starting at 6 p.m. guests can enjoy holiday musical entertainment in the lobby. Then, they will be invited to head outside for the ceremonial lighting of the city’s Christmas tree at 6:30 p.m., before moving back into the Ford Center, where they can sing some of the traditional songs of the season.
