DEARBORN – A Mad Science Camp, conducted at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center during the end-of-the-year holidays, offers an opportunity for children ages 5 to 12 to remain engaged in learning while still enjoying their break from school.
“Cell City” focuses on cells, which make up all living things. Campers will take a drive through Cell City, stopping to break the DNA code and climb the gene tree. They can explore cells from nerves to muscles, and after getting the city up and running, students will take home their own handmade cell.
Cell City meets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 28.
Registration takes place at the service desk of the Ford Center, 15801 Michigan Ave., and space is limited.
Cost of camp is $45 for pass holders, $48 for Dearborn residents and $50 for non-residents.
Campers should bring a bag lunch.
