Driver’s license renewal, other services offered at Dearborn Police Station

December 27, 2015 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN – Residents have an alternative and more convenient way to renew a driver’s license instead of visiting a Secretary of State office.

The Police Department Driver’s License Bureau is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday inside the police station, 16099 Michigan Ave.

Drivers may take their written driving exam at the bureau, as well as renew an expiring license or replace a lost license.

Dearborn is one of a few cities to offer this service to its residents. Call 313-943-2468 for more information.

The police station also offers other services such as fingerprinting, which is available on a walk-in basis between the hours of 8 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

If residents are looking to purchase a gun permit and register a gun, service hours are 12:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday or 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday.

For more information about all services offered at the police station, go to the city website at www.cityofdearborn.org.
