HFC Honors Program information session Jan. 30

DEARBORN — Students will have the opportunity to learn how the Henry Ford College Henry Ford II Honors Program can benefit them at the HFC Honors Program Experience from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 30 in the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center on the main campus, 5101 Evergreen.

The event provides students a chance to meet faculty, current honors students and alumni. Students will have an opportunity to observe Honors classes, including the presentation of undergraduate research projects undertaken by current students.     Participants also will receive more information on:

• Full-tuition scholarship opportunities.
• A challenging academic environment.
• Faculty mentors.
• Undergraduate research opportunities.
• Directed study aboard opportunities.
• Service learning projects.
• Enhanced transfer scholarships.
• Transfer guidance.

The honors program, established in 1978, has 64 students enrolled. Students interested in joining the program must have an overall, unweighted grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
