LINCOLN PARK — A nurse and mother of three was killed in a crash on I-75 Saturday morning while on her way to her daughter’s cheer competition.

Danette Robertson, 40, of Brownstown Township, was killed after the truck she was a passenger in reportedly hit a patch of black ice near Outer Drive in Lincoln Park and she was partially ejected from the truck, according to the Michigan State Police.

Robertson was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

She leaves behind a son and two daughters. Her son was reportedly driving the vehicle.

A GoFundMe page has been established to assist with funeral expenses and 15-year-old daughter.

The fund was originally asking for $15,000 which was raised. Now it was elevated to $150,000. It was started by Carla Rakowski Bucala, a fellow cheerleading mom.

Calls to Rivergate Terrace, where Robertson worked as a nurse, were not returned.
