TAYLOR – Police and school officials are looking into a reported abduction attempt of a Myers Elementary School student.

Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said a boy was walking home from school Jan. 27, and was near the intersection of Inkster Road and Leroy Street when he was approached by the driver of a green car.

The man tried to “lure him into the vehicle,” Sclabassi said. The driver was described as wearing a black ski mask and gloves, and his age and race were unknown.

The car was described as an older car with bumper damage and dents.

Taylor School District officials reportedly advised parents of the incident and that students should be cautious when walking in the area. Sclabassi said school children should know what to do, where to go and who to call in such situations.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Taylor police at 734-287-6611.
