DEARBORN – The City Clerk’s Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 5 to accept applications for absentee ballots for the presidential primary elections March 8.
As Saturday is the final day to apply for an absentee ballot, residents can fill out the absentee ballot application and return the completed form to the clerk right on the spot.
Voters may apply for an absentee ballot through March 4 during regular 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. business hours as well. Absentee ballots can be returned to the Clerk’s Office — in the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave. — until 8 p.m. March 8.
Voters also may verify their precinct and confirm they are registered by calling 943-2030.
On primary day, the polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Government issued photo identification is required at the precinct in order to vote. If voters do not have a government issued photo identification, they will be asked to sign an affidavit and can then vote.
