Shop with a Cop fundraiser set for Friday

March 13, 2016 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

MELVINDALE – Fans of country music, Toby Keith and Willy Nelson are in for a treat for the Shop with a Cop fundraiser Friday at Play Atlantis 19400 Allen Road.

A $10 donation is suggested for admission, but organizers ask for anything one can spare. All the proceeds go to the Shop with a Cop Foundation.

The fundraiser starts at 8 p.m.; however, unlimited laser tag, golf and bounce will be available from 5 to 10 p.m.

Two impersonators will perform as Willy Nelson and Toby Keith at the event from 8 to 10:30 p.m.

Police said the program has helped many families in need throughout the years, bringing them a brighter Christmas. The police want to do the same this coming holiday season.

Shop with a Cop offers disadvantaged children a day with police. The children can buy items for anyone or themselves and the event helps create a trust with law enforcement.
