ALLEN PARK – A 24-year-old Allen Park man being held on a $500,000 bond for allegedly raping a 23-year-old woman at gunpoint, is set for a preliminary examination of the evidence against him at 9 a.m. April 4 before 24th District Court Judge John Courtright.

Kevis Sardin reportedly posed as the victim’s ex-boyfriend, and began texting her. The woman responded to the texts and agreed to meet the person, thinking it was her ex.

She reportedly met with Sardin, who showed up with a gun and blindfold. He took her to Willow Cove Apartments, using her car, police said. The suspect lives with his mother.

The suspect allegedly abducted, blindfolded and raped the victim for hours. He later returned her to her car and told her to wait 30 seconds before driving away. The victim drove to the nearest hospital, where she was examined.

Police arrested Sardin March 18 at his apartment and he was arraigned on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery and criminal sexual conduct.

A second man is rumored to be involved. Police haven’t confirmed this.
