DEARBORN – The Dearborn Community Arts Council once again will host the annual First Lady’s Tea at 1 p.m. April 30 at the Dearborn Hills Golf Course Clubhouse, 1300 S. Telegraph.
The fundraiser and traditional luncheon tea, honoring Dearborn’s first lady, Christina O’Reilly, offers a fun-filled afternoon in a refined atmosphere of beauty and luxury.
Tickets are $35 (full tables are available), and are available by phone at 313-943-2354 or 313-943-3095, online at www.dcacarts, by email at [email protected], or at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center Box Office, 15801 Michigan Ave. Checks also may be made out to and sent to: DCAC, 15801 Michigan Ave., Dearborn, MI, 48126, attention FLT.
As in years past, tables will be artistically decorated by arts supporters, prominent community members and cultural and business organizations.
The afternoon begins with mimosas and an opportunity to stroll the clubhouse, taking in the wide array of decorated tables, all while being serenaded by live music.
The luncheon features an assortment of fine teas complimented by a Michigan salad, assorted tea sandwiches, scones and muffins, as well as a buffet of desserts.
In addition to the door prizes, each guest also receives a gift bag, a chance to win gift items and gift packages including original art, and to shop the Teatime Treasures Auction and Raffle. Another highlight of the event is a personal message of empowerment courtesy of a keynote speaker to be announced.
Proceeds from the First Lady’s Tea go toward programs and activities benefiting the DCAC and its partnering arts groups, as well as activities of Dearborn Senior Services.
