ALLEN PARK – A 24-year-old Allen Park man is being held on a $1 million cash bond following a preliminary hearing on charges of allegedly kidnapping and raping a 23-year-old woman at gunpoint.

Kevis Sardin went before 24th District Court Judge John Courtright April 4. The judge bound Sardin over to Wayne County Circuit Court on charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping. Courtright dismissed an armed robbery charge.

Sardin allegedly texted the victim while posing as her ex-boyfriend. The pair texted back and forth and then reportedly agreed to meet March 15. The victim said she thought she was meeting her ex, police said.

Sardin reportedly showed up at the meeting spot with a gun and blindfold. He then forced the victim to drive her own car to Willow Cove Apartments, where the lives with his mother.

Once there, he raped the woman for hours, police said.

The Sardin returned the victim to her car and told her to wait 30 seconds before leaving, police said. The victim immediately drove to the nearest hospital to be examined.

Police arrested Sardin the next day at his apartment.
