DEARBORN – The City Council has set 7:15 p.m. June 9 as the time to adopt the proposed Fiscal Year 2017 city of Dearborn budget.

The public is welcome to attend the meeting, which will be in the City Council Chambers of the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave. The proposed budget sets the funding and expenditures for city services.

The public hearing on the budget was June 2, and multiple open meetings have taken place for the council to review proposed projects and examine specific departments.

The proposed FY17 budget covers July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017.

The budget, along with the city’s millage rate, must be approved by the City Council before the new fiscal year begins.
