HEIGHTS — Police are investigating an employee at Annapolis High School, 4650 Clippert, for alleged sexual conduct with students at the school.

Dearborn Heights School District No. 7 Supt. John Frazer posted a message on the district’s website informing parents about the issue.

He said district official received an anonymous email alleging that a male D7 employee was involved in inappropriate behavior with female students.

The staff member was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation which was turned over to Dearborn Heights police.

Frazier added that the employee in question was hired through an outside employment agency.

“The safety and welfare of our students and staff is of the utmost concern and focus at all times,” he wrote. “We take all allegations seriously and act immediately, which has lead to a law enforcement investigation.

“With respect for the privacy for our students and their parents that may be involved, I am asking that we refrain from speculation and rumors.

A statement from the Police Department said information will be released when the investigation is completed.
