ALLEN PARK – Helping children develop a lifelong love of music is the goal of Deanna Wells, whose elementary music day camp, “Lights, Action… Music!” July 25 to 29 helps children take the first step.

Campers will sing, play instruments, move to music and even create their own tunes and learn to put the notes on paper.

Campers will end the week on a high note with a performance showcasing what they learned.

Day camp for children in kindergarten through third grade runs from 9 to 11 a.m., with fourth- through sixth-graders meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. at Inter-City Baptist School, 4700 Allen Road.

Cost for the week is $50, with a $5 discount for Inter-City Baptist students, and a $10 discount for families enrolling two or more children.

To request a registration form, or for more information, call Wells at 313-919-3097.
