DEARBORN — Police are investigating an incident where a Dearborn man allegedly pulled a gun around children at Springwells Park Apartments, 15630 Middleburg Drive, July 13.

The group of nine children were swimming and playing in the community pool when they noticed the man was getting upset. The man was at the pool watching his daughter when he threatened to call police and then took a ball away from the children.

There was a brief verbal argument, but the situation did not get physical.

When a few of the children attempted to get the ball back, the man allegedly pulled out his gun that he was carrying, according to police. The group of children and witnesses called police to the community pool and informed them on the incident.

Once on the scene, police were able to speak with the man who fully cooperated with officers before being arrested.

The investigation is ongoing and the man has not been charged in the incident.
