DEARBORN – The city is holding a primary election Aug. 2 for voters to choose top candidates in a variety of races, including congressional, state legislative, county, and judicial contests.
In addition, voters will be asked to renew 3.5 mills to continue funding Dearborn city services.
Also on the ballot are two Wayne County proposals to continue support for parks and the zoo.
Residents who are registered and qualify for an absentee ballot may apply for and be given their absentee ballot at the City Clerk’s Office at the Dearborn Administrative Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through July 29.
On the final day to obtain an absentee ballot, which is July 30, the Clerk’s Office will be open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The DAC is at 16901 Michigan Ave.
Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 2. Absentee ballots must be received by the Clerk’s Office by 8 p.m. Aug. 2.
