Vehicles attempt to drive through water blocking the road on Wyoming and Southern in Dearborn Aug. 16. Heavy rains overnight from Aug. 15 caused the road to flood. Northbound Southfield Freeway was also closed from Michigan Avenue to Ford Road due to flooding. The Dearborn Police Department worked with Wayne County Roads and the Dearborn Department of Public Works-Highways Division to resolve the issues. Most of southeast Michigan is under a flood advisory until 5 p.m. Aug. 18.
