August 21, 2016 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — Police are asking the public for information on a pedestrian incident near Michigan Avenue and Reckinger Aug 17.

The victim was working in the area when struck about 9:20 a.m. by a passing vehicle.

Police believe the vehicle is a beige or tan SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, with damage to the passenger front side mirror. Investigators on scene presume the driver of the SUV may not be aware he or she was involved in an accident.

The driver is being asked to contact the Dearborn Police Department regarding the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and has any information can call Dearborn police at 313-943-2241.
