Taylor City Clerk announces extended office hours in preparation for November election

September 14, 2016 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TAYLOR — The City Clerk’s Office will offer extended hours as it prepares for the November general election.

City Clerk Cindy Bower said her office will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 4, 11 and 18. Oct. 11 is the final day to register to vote in the election. Oct. 18 will focus on absentee ballot requests only.

Regular hours for the clerk’s office are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Bower is promoting the use of the absentee ballot process in this election in an effort to ease the long lines she foresees at the polling places for the Nov. 8 election.

Absentee ballot applications can be requested by telephone or email. Call 734 287-6550 Option 6 or email [email protected]
