DEARBORN – The Dearborn Public Library will host a public meet-and-greet from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 at Henry Ford Centennial Library for the authors of a community anthology of Edgar Allan Poe-inspired stories and poems created by over 150 authors, many of whom have close ties to Dearborn.
The event is free and registration is not required. Light refreshments will be served.
The book, “Dreaming Dreams No Mortal Ever Dared to Dream Before,” was a result of the Big Read celebration of Poe earlier this year. Its chapter headings include “Celestial,” “Dreams,” “Ghost,” “Horror,” “Madness,” “Mystery,” “Poetry” and “Tribute.”
There will be an opportunity for 10 to 15 authors to sign up to read their story or poem to the audience.
A limited number of copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event for $16 each. Copies can also be purchased online at www.createspace.com/6317921 or Amazon.com.
All proceeds go toward funding future community-wide reading projects in and around Dearborn. Additionally, with a Dearborn Public Library card, people can check out or reserve a copy for free.
